Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall

Colum McCann

Due to the severe weather, we have made the decision to postpone Colum McCann's appearance at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall, originally scheduled for Thursday, January 12.

McCann's lecture has been rescheduled for Friday, February 24 at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 7:30 p.m. All subscribers will be accommodated and should plan to use their original seat reservations for the rescheduled Colum McCann lecture. Please help us spread this word by sharing this news with those you know in the audience.

Colum McCann is the author of six novels, including Let the Great World Spin (Random House, 2009), and three collections of stories. His most recent book is the collection Thirteen Ways of Looking (Random House, 2015), a novella and three stories, which earned him praise from the Wall Street Journal: “McCann is a passionate writer whose impulse is always toward a generous understanding of his diverse characters.” Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, he has been the recipient of many international honors, including the National Book Award, the International Dublin Impac Prize, a Chevalier des Arts et Lettres from the French government, election to the Irish Arts Academy, the 2010 Best Foreign Novel Award in China, and an Oscar nomination. He is the co-founder of the nonprofit global story exchange organization, Narrative 4, and he teaches at the MFA program at Hunter College.

2016/17 Portland Arts & Lectures subscriptions are sold out. A limited number of general admission tickets ($29.00 + service charge) will be available at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall Box Office at 5:30pm on the day of lecture.

Arts For All tickets are not available for this event.
