Lena Dunham

Lena Dunham is the creator and star of HBO's hit series Girls, for which she also serves as executive producer, writer, and director. Nominated for seven Emmy Awards and winner of two Golden Globes, including Best Actress for her work on Girls, Lena has also written and directed two feature-length films (including 2010's Tiny Furniture). Now, Not That Kind of Girl, Lena's hilarious, poignant, and extremely frank collection of personal essays, confirms her as one of the brightest and most original writers working today. Fearless, smart, and heartbreakingly honest, Not That Kind of Girl establishes Lena as more than a hugely talented director, actress, and producer – it announces her as a fresh and vibrant new literary voice.

Don't miss this very special conversation between two celebrated talents, as Lena will be joined onstage by Carrie Brownstein, star of IFC's Portlandia and former guitarist/vocalist for Sleater-Kinney.

Price includes a copy of Lena Dunham's Not That Kind of Girl. Books distributed at event.
