Music on Main: Alonzo Chadwick & Zoulful Muzic
Alonzo Chadwick & Zoulful Muzic is a group of incredibly talented & skilled musicians and singers who specialize in various genres of music. The likes of Soul, Funk, Jazz, R&B, Neo Soul, Blues, and gospel to name a few. Alonzo has been through many trials and tests. His heartfelt lyrics combined with a myriad of life experiences allows him to reach all generations, creeds, colors, races, and cultures. He has performed as a featured soloist with the Grammy nominated Oregon Symphony at their annual “Gospel Christmas” for the last 12 years.
ABOUT THE ARTIST
Originally born in Nebraska, Alonzo has called the Pacific Northwest his home for the majority of his life, but has traveled far and wide musically. His singing has taken him from the West Coast to the East and from the Northern states to the Southern states. He is the 2012 spring winner of the “Most Powerful Voices” singing competition sponsored by GMC channel. He has performed at National renowned “Oregon Blues Festival,” as well as Oregon’s “The Bite,” and “The Portland Rose Festival.” Performing and sharing the stage with recording artists such as Josh Groban, Israel Houghton, Kim Burell, John P Kee, Canton Jones, William Murphy, India Arie, CeCe Winans, Pink Martini, David Banner, The Oregon Symphony, Storm Large, Linda Hornbuckle, Janice Scroggins, National renowned Cantor Ida Rae Cahana, and Orchestra Conductor Dr. Charles Floyd, and special life changing performances for Civil Rights activist Congressman John Lewis & Myrlie Evers. He uses music as the universal love language to engage in the fight of social justice, by providing peace, healing, and unity.
ABOUT MUSIC ON MAIN
The Portland’5 Centers for the Arts and the ArtBar & Bistro are proud to present the 13th Annual Music on Main outdoor concert series from July 11 to September 5, 2018. The free concerts are held in downtown Portland on Main Street, between Southwest Broadway & Park Avenue, next to Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall.
On Wednesday evenings starting in July, Portland’5 takes advantage of the lovely summer weather in Portland to present the free outdoor concert series. The concerts feature popular local and regional musicians playing a diverse collection of music.
The free concerts are open to the public and run from 5pm to 7pm – tickets are not required. The ArtBar & Bistro will be serving seasonal fare and delicious libations starting at 4:00pm. Tables are for food and beverage patrons only and are available on a first come, first-served basis.
*Performers subject to change. In case of rain or extreme heat, Music on Main concerts will be held in the rotunda lobby of Antoinette Hatfield Hall, located next to Main Street at 1111 SW Broadway Ave., Portland, Oregon 97205.
