Among the most innovative ballet companies in the U.S., Alonzo King LINES Ballet makes a triumphant return to White Bird with Deep River, King’s newest work. Melding dance with spiritual music from the Black, Jewish, and Indian traditions, Deep River pairs the impressive technique of LINES’ classically-trained dancers with a soulful score composed by the MacArthur Award-winning jazz pianist Jason Moran and featuring the voice of GRAMMY Award-winning vocalist Lisa Fischer.
