About the exhibit:

An exhibition of abstracted landscapes by painter PM Shore to promote awareness of America’s threatened publicly held wild lands and endangered wildlife.

"I have purposely not shown the devastation that drilling, mining and slaughter will bring to our commonly held natural world, but have chosen to present the beauty and serenity that nature provides through the color and movement in art, hoping to inspire an appreciation and the will to conserve." -PM Shore

Opening reception will feature:

  • Special musical performance by Sonny Hess and Kathryn Grimm.
  • Remarks from Erica Mattison, Executive Director of Portland-based nonprofit, Depave: transforming paved surfaces to urban green spaces.
  • Artist’s talk by PM Shore.
  • Food & refreshments will be available.

Paving Paradise: Losing our Public Lands will be on display in the Antoinette Hatfield Hall lobby through October 30, 2018 (Mondays-Saturdays 10am-5pm and during events). Artwork purchase inquiries: jeanniebaker@portland5.com / 503-274-6556.
